If you're in search of "Make-it-Happen!" lean manufacturing
knowledge and implementation 'know how' for managers/
supervisors/lead persons...
you're in the right place.
Finally a do-it-yourself, Lean Manufacturing
Seminar
that transforms
MRP supporters into Back-to-Basics MRP-LEAN
advocates and
champions... a primary requisite
for optimizing manufacturing success.
A seminar package that will add some pizzazz to a company's
training program or it can be presented as a stand alone
lean manufacturing seminar by an in-house facilitator. (A Train-the-Trainer Manual is in the box.)
This unique Lean Manufacturing Training Seminar-in-a-box was developed by Bill Gaw to help manufacturing leaders:
* Better understand how to integrate lean manufacturing with MRP to increase process speed and people productivity
* Improve the development and execution of quality management systems to improve customer satisfaction and earn "supplier of choice" awards from existing and potential customers
* Develop proactive, multi-functional Back-to-Basics manufacturing teams to eliminate non-value-added activities and related costs and improve product profit margins
* Transform manufacturing training and learning from drudgery to fun to improve the spirit and performance of individuals, teams, and organizations.
Transforming MRP supporters into Back-to-Basics manufacturing champions is a company's primary challenge in achieving and sustaining lean manufacturing success.
To meet this challenge, Bill Gaw developed the "Lean Manufacturing Seminar-in-a-Box." The box contains three of Bill's most effective lean manufacturing training tools plus an effective Train-the-Trainer Manual that
produces 'make-it-happen' trainers.
“Bill's experience and the resources he provides on http://bbasicsllc.com are first rate and of great practical value for both the experienced manager wishing to push improvement in their business as well as people at the beginning of their careers who need to understand the basics of making businesses lean and effective” February 25, 2011

The Lean Manufacturing Training Seminar-in-a-Box
1.Stockless Production Video
This is the famous "Oldie but Goodie" HP video that
demonstrates the Pull vs. Push production systems, one-piece-flow, stockless production, and cycle time management.
It helps everyone gain an understanding of Back-to-Basics, manufacturing benefits (Like work becomes fun again)
2. The Manufacturing Simulation Game
Participative exercises that demonstrate the benefits of Pull (LEAN) production over Push (MRP) production. The game employs sequential production, kanban and point-of-use inventory and demonstrates how quality, cycle times, and productivity improve while reducing inventory, scrap, rework, and floor space requirements.
Active participation for 6 to 12 people with sideline observation note taking by up to 20 observers.
Team builds 20 Lego Towers of two configurations, 6 MRP subassemblies... from 320 LEGO Bricks.
MRP (Push) simulation includes stockroom, shop order picking and subassembly production. Time to complete: 15-45 minutes depending on team skill level.
Pull manufacturing simulation sets up a "one- piece" flow production line using JIT and kanbans. Time to complete: 5-10 minutes depending on team skill level.
A post-forum review initiates a discussion of the pros and cons of each methodology.
3. A Trio of Training Modules To help reinforce lean manufacturing best practices:
Lean Manufacturing Training Module -If your company needs to increase speed, improve quality while reducing non-value added costs this training module has the road map. Many of the manufacturing process leadership principles and techniques presented are applicable to all industries.

Value Stream Mapping TrainingModule -
Maps and flowcharts help make work visible. Increased visibility improves communication and understanding, and provides a common frame of reference for those involved with the business and work process. For additional information--->Value Stream Mapping
Kaizen Management Training Module -
If your organization can handle only one change initiative at a time, then let it be the implementation of a “continuous improvement” kaizen program. There just isn’t any other more important program in our pursuit of profits.

Believe it... "there is no free lunch!"
If you search the Internet for lean manufacturing training, you'll come across a ton of stuff... and most of it free.
Now I've had people tell me that they don't need to purchase anything because "you can get so much free stuff on the net."
Admittedly, like I said a second ago, there is a ton of free stuff on the net...and if you put it all together you'd probably have over a 100 hours of YouTube videos, and a million pages of white papers and case studies.
So if you had over 100 hours of YouTube videos, and a million pages of white papers and case studies would you and your company realize your full growth and earning potentials?
Let me answer that for you... NOOOOOO!
Make-a-Difference Training
For more than 14 years, Our Customers
have
looked to
Bill Gaw as
a trusted developer of
manufacturing training materials, seminars, and workshops. Training options that help individuals and companies reach their full growth and earning potentials.
Most training materials today are either Adobe .pdf e-books with little or
no effective graphics, PowerPoint presentations with no commentary to explain the content of the slides, videos that tell you what to do but with very little implementa-tion and/or optimization “know how,” and seminars that present a lot of materials but most attendee’s retention rate is less than 25%.
Bill Gaw's tutorials and training modules on the other hand include
powerful, Power-Point charts and graphics, "plus" annotated note pages with
"slide commentary" and "lessons learned" by a "been there,
done that" manufacturing professional. Value added, learning
experiences on "how to" design, implement and optimize manufacturing initiatives
for individual and company success.
What Does It Cost?
Much less than you would imagine. In fact, we make the
Lean Manufacturing Seminar-in-a-Box affordable so that it can fit easily within your personal or your company's training budget. We want you and your company to hear what Bill has to say about lean manufacturing and the best way to do that is to make it affordable.
